The Communicable Disease Act 2558 therefore coordinates cooperation with relevant agencies to discuss guidelines for joint operations closely and in a timely manner. Since Thailand has relaxed measures and opened up to travelers from around the world. There is an influx of tourists, business people, and airlines have 80% more travelers.
Bringing businesses back, revitalizing the country's economy and continuously increasing employment.
Most recently, when China opened the country on January 8, 2566, there was a discussion to prepare to accommodate the arrival of Chinese tourists conveniently and safely. both for travelers and people in the country which came from a visit to Suvarnabhumi Airport to welcome tourists from China on the first flight Those who travel are smiling and happy to be in Thailand. The atmosphere of international tourism has greatly improved. The trend of the number of tourists is increasing. Including tourists from other countries around the world. In the past 3 days, the arrival situation of tourists from China has been smooth.
For today's meeting, 3 issues were agreed upon: the first issue was measures to support travel into Thailand. To prevent and control COVID-19 disease, there are 3 sub-issues:
- Public health measures to prevent and control disease 19 in Thailand for travelers entering the country. Let there be integration and cooperation. in tourism, transportation, foreign countries, public health and other related agencies Prepare to take care of tourists and public health measures, such as monitoring the disease for travelers with respiratory symptoms to be tested with ATK/PCR, checking for strains of COVID-19, adding a reporting mechanism through the Department of Disease Control website. Surveillance and testing of species in wastewater from aircraft.
- Guidelines for purchasing insurance for tourists Emphasis on travelers from countries that require RT-PCR test results on their return trip to their country of origin, namely China and India. You must have health insurance with an amount of not less than 10,000 US dollars covering COVID-19 treatment for the entire period of your stay in Thailand plus an additional 7 days. The insurance policy protects those entering Thailand. (Conditions as specified) for those who come to carry out the mission. Including crew members and students, they may use a certificate from the host organization or a document showing that they have other forms of insurance instead. Communicable disease control officials will randomly inspect health insurance documents of travelers from those countries. If it is found that there is no health insurance document That person must purchase health insurance before entering the country.
- Guidelines for tour operators To prevent and control COVID-19 disease, emphasis is placed on tourism operators and citizens receiving 4 complete doses of COVID vaccine to increase safety in preventing serious illness.
The second issue is providing COVID-2 vaccine services to foreigners. By organizing a system and setting guidelines for providing voluntary COVID-19 vaccine services. and charge appropriate service fees under the Medical Hub mechanism. Vaccines provided will be vaccines purchased by the Thai government only. And there are vaccination service points for foreign tourists in the pilot phase, divided into Bangkok, including the Dermatology Institute. Nopparat Ratchathani Hospital, Lerdsin Hospital, Rajavithi Hospital, Bangrak Medical Center Bamrasnaradura Infectious Diseases Institute and the Urban Disease Prevention and Control Institute, Chiang Mai, including the Chiang Mai Neurological Hospital, Chonburi at the Pattayarak Center, Phuket, service units operated by Phuket Provincial Public Health Office. In this regard, vaccine management takes into account the amount of vaccine stock that will not affect the Thai people and allocates vaccines to Thai people as a priority.
And the third matter is the appointment of a sub-committee for managing the prevention and control of COVID-3 disease to support travel into the Kingdom. To have a health management mechanism Economy and Society Operate in an integrated manner Most efficient and effective Measures taken against travelers are coordinated seamlessly.
“Today's overview Thailand has been able to relax measures to prevent and control disease 19 to be consistent with the current situation. Number of patients hospitalized Severely ill patients and deaths decreased The occupancy rate for level 2 and 3 beds is still lower than 6%, but what needs to be accelerated is Vaccination in Thailand In particular, the 608 group, where more than half of the deaths were unvaccinated people. Didn't receive the stimulation needle. or have received booster shots for more than 3 months, therefore a campaign must be carried out to receive 4 complete vaccination shots, booster every 4 months to increase immunity. Because if infected, they will not get seriously ill and die.”
