Mr. Montri Lavalchaikul, Chief Executive Officer of PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTT EP), and Mr. Pirun Saiyasitpanich, Secretary-General of the Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning (ONREP), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on cooperation in climate change mitigation and biodiversity conservation. This collaboration aims to support and drive climate change mitigation efforts, contributing to Thailand's carbon neutrality goals and its transition to a low-carbon society, while simultaneously conserving and restoring natural resources and biodiversity. It also includes linking and exchanging biodiversity data from local areas to Thailand's national database, such as promoting private sector involvement in Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) projects, enhancing biodiversity protection outside legally protected areas, and restoring and conserving threatened plant and animal species. Furthermore, the cooperation encompasses supporting public-private partnerships at national, regional, and international levels, and raising public awareness.

This cooperation between PTTEP and ONEP will create systematic and concrete operations between the public and private sectors. According to the spirit of both organizations to jointly drive the creation of balance for society and the environment in the areas of climate change and biodiversity. To support the country's sustainability goals
