US asks WHO to invite Taiwan to return to its annual meeting as an observer

Mr. Antony Blinken, Secretary of State of the United Stateshas called forWorld Health Organization (WHO) Taiwan is invited to participate in the annual meeting as an observer as before 2560.
Before the WHO decision-making body will hold its annual meeting on May 21-30 in Geneva, Mr Blingen issued a statement saying: Not allowing Taiwan to attend the meeting is unfair. and undermining cooperation in public health and security around the world.
Tensions between the US and China rise over Taiwan. China claims that Taiwan is part of its territory. and will bring Taiwan under control may use force if necessary
Taiwan has previously been excluded from the World Health Assembly since 2560 over China's objections. The Chinese government has increased pressure on Taiwan. Since the election of President Tsai Taiwan's Ing-wen in 2559, where the Chinese government views her as a separatist.
Mr. Blinken said. Taiwan is a reliable partner, a democracy and is a force of goodness in this world The United States will continue to support Taiwan's return as an observer at the meeting. and for significant participation in the United Nations (UN) system and on the international stage.
