Mr. Thanomsak Saharatachai, Senior Assistant Managing Director of Research at Krung Thai Xspring Securities, said that the Thai stock market rose today, contrary to other Asian stock markets which mostly moved in negative territory. This was due to a technical rebound after falling below 1,500 points in the past period, resulting in buying pressure on stocks that had fallen significantly in price. There was also speculation on stocks that would benefit from the prospect of rising interest rates ahead of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting on May 31st.
As for tomorrow's trend (25 May), it is expected that the market will have a chance to rise to test the resistance at 1,550 points due to speculation in individual stocks. If it stands, there is a chance to bounce back to 1,570 points, but if it doesn't pass, there is a chance to shrink down to the support level of 1,530 points. If it cannot be supported, it is expected to go deeper to 1,500 points.
