Prime Minister of Malaysia Phone call to discuss "Elon Musk" about Tesla-SpaceX investment plans in the country

Malaysian Prime Minister calls Elon Musk to discuss investment plans for Tesla-SpaceX in the country. Tesla offices, showrooms, and service centers are expected to open in 2566.
On July 14, 2566, The Business Times reported that Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said he had spoken with Elon Musk by phone to discuss Tesla's investment in Malaysia, as well as SpaceX's satellite communications services.
The Malaysian Prime Minister said, “I welcome the company’s interest and decision to invest in Malaysia, and Elon Musk’s intention to come to Malaysia.”
Earlier this year, Malaysia approved Tesla, the electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, to import battery-powered electric vehicles into the country. The Malaysian Ministry of Trade stated that Tesla will open offices, showrooms, and service centers in the Southeast Asian country and build a network of charging stations for its vehicles. The Malaysian Prime Minister said that Tesla's operations in Malaysia will begin this year.
The Malaysian Prime Minister and Elon Musk also discussed Starlink, a satellite communications service.
