Thai stocks closed down 5.24 points, selling to reduce risk before the long holiday.

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) index closed at 1,450.75 points on October 12, down 5.24 points (-0.36%), with a trading volume of 36,895.02 million baht. Foreign investors were net sellers of 1,759.75 million baht, while domestic funds were net buyers of 1,894.78 million baht.
Mr. Nattapol Khamthakrue, Director of Securities Analysis at Yuanta Securities (Thailand), said that the Thai stock market declined today, contrary to regional markets, due to selling pressure from investors seeking to reduce risk ahead of a long holiday weekend. Selling pressure was seen in large-cap stocks and the energy sector, which fell due to declining global oil prices.
In addition, investors are awaiting Chinese economic figures tomorrow (October 13), specifically export figures, and next Wednesday (October 18), when China will release GDP figures.
For the Thai stock market outlook next week, we expect a positive outlook as it will be earnings season, with Q3/66 financial results being announced. TISCO's results were close to expectations. Next week, we anticipate speculative trading on bank earnings and stocks linked to China, as the Chinese authorities are expected to announce economic stimulus measures next week.
Support is 1,445 -1,440 points, resistance is 1,455-1,460 points.
