It is seen that the actions of such persons greatly affect the confidence in using the insurance system to manage risks in life and property of the people.
Therefore, the Insurance Intermediary Investigation Division, together with the Legal and Litigation Division of the Office of the OIC, immediately checked information on the license of this arrested person.
From the facts and evidence that appeared, it was found that Mr. Pasin (surname withheld) was a life insurance agent. of a life insurance company who actually committed an offense, Mr. Pasin confessed to investigators according to the search/seizure/arrest record dated 5 November 2566, taking advantage of the fact that he was a life insurance agent who had access to personal information of the insured and had Utilizing such information without the consent of the insured
That is, using or disclosing personal information. which consists of first and last name, national identification number and phone number of the insured For purposes other than the purposes notified to the affiliated life insurance company. By secretly exchanging such personal information with outsiders for personal gain. without the consent of the insured in any way
However, upon further examination of the facts, it was found that the information was obtained only in part from insurance sales. And some parts Mr. Pasin obtained from the black market with the intention of using them to sell insurance for his own benefit and sold the information to criminal groups.
And from investigating the facts from the insurance company, it was found that since Mr. Pasin was a representative of the company, until now, insurance has been offered to only 11 insured persons.
By such actions of Mr. Pasin It is a violation or failure to comply with the announcement issued by the Insurance Business Supervision and Promotion Board under Section 79/1 in a manner that causes or may cause damage to the insured. The beneficiary of the insurance policy or the public and is an operation that causes or may cause damage to the insured. Therefore, it is considered appropriate to revoke Mr. Pasin's license to be a life insurance agent. The person whose license has been revoked will not be able to act as an insurance agent/broker or apply for a new license within 5 years from the date the license was revoked. Violators will be punished with imprisonment not exceeding 6 months or a fine not exceeding 50,000 baht, or both.
