The data shows that Mukdahan Province has a population of over 350,000 people, with a high rate of road accidents, which is a major problem for the province. In addition, only 85,000 people have insurance. Therefore, it shows that Mukdahan residents still have limited use of insurance as a tool for financial risk management.

In order to promote and improve access to insurance that is consistent with the context of the area, such as accident insurance, health insurance, compulsory insurance, and fire insurance for homes, a seminar activity was organized on the topic: “Accidents can be mitigated with insurance.” With the committee and members of the village fund in the area of ​​Mueang Mukdahan District and village fund representatives participating.

Ms. Wasumdee said that insurance is something close to the people because life is always risky. Therefore, having insurance will help manage the risks to your life and your family's property.

Including being a tool for future savings, which from statistics found that currently, 100% of the population in the country, only 10%, after the age of 60, have a financial status that allows them to live without hardship, while another 30% have savings of less than 100,000 baht, and another 60% of the population in the country have no savings.

Therefore, the Office of the Insurance Commission (OIC) has proactive measures to drive the promotion and instill the concept of saving along with insurance to enhance the quality of life of the people sustainably.
