Eastspring Asset Management launches ThaiESG mixed fund, focusing on SET ESG index stocks - ESG Bond, available in 2 formats: accumulating value and dividend type, open for sale 24-29 Oct.
Ms. Darabusp Papavaj, Managing Director of Eastspring Asset Management (Thailand) , revealed that Eastspring Asset Management has launched a new Thai Sustainable Development Fund (ThaiESG Fund) to provide investors with more options: the Eastspring ESG MIXED 30/70 Open-Ended Fund (ES-ESG30/70), with a project value of 5 billion baht. It will be offered for sale from October 24-29, 2024, with a minimum investment of just 1 baht. Two investment options are available: an accumulation fund (ES-ESG30/70-THAIESG-A) and a dividend-paying fund (ES-ESG30/70-THAIESG-D).
The Eastspring ESG MIXED 30/70 open-ended fund has a policy divided into 2 parts.
Part 1 comprises 80% of the NAV in stocks selected by the SET for their outstanding environmental (Environment) or sustainability (Environmental, Social and Governance: ESG) performance, in a proportion equal to or close to the weight of the components of the SETESG Index (SETESG TRI), as well as government bonds, bonds guaranteed by the Ministry of Finance, or corporate bonds guaranteed by the Ministry of Finance, and environmental and sustainability instruments.
Part 2 involves investments in equities, accounting for 30%, primarily through index-tracking (passive investment), and the remaining 70% in sustainability bonds (ESG Bonds), focusing on actively managed investments in sustainable government/private sector bonds and other short-term debt instruments for liquidity.
The highlight of Eastspring ESG MIXED 30/70 Open Fund is that it is an ESG CONSERVATIVE ALLOCATION mixed fund that meets the needs of long-term investment. It has the opportunity to create balanced investment portfolio growth from a combination of equity and debt instruments, which receive tax benefits if held according to the specified conditions. There is a management fee of only 0.36% per year. It is an investment option and tax deduction, along with participation in creating sustainability. It is suitable for investors who can tolerate not very high investment volatility.
