AIA Thailand reshuffles health insurance executives to control marketing

AIA Thailand announced the appointments of Ekkarat Thitiman as Chief Healthcare Officer (CHO) and Chalida Nakornchai as Chief Marketing Officer, effective 1 January 2568. Ekkarat will continue to serve on the AIA Thailand Executive Committee.

สำหรับ Ekkarat Thitiman He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and an master's degree in business administration from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

A seasoned leader with a proven track record in business development and transformation, he has been AIA's Chief Marketing Officer since 2561. Under Ekarat's leadership, the Marketing Department has achieved significant success in a number of key areas, which have been instrumental in supporting AIA Thailand's growth.

Meanwhile, the establishment of an agency to oversee and promote the health insurance business reflects AIA’s importance and mission to develop and create sustainability in the health business group in an integrated manner.

As Chief Health Insurance Officer, Ekkarat will be responsible for managing all health insurance-related activities, covering everything from business development and marketing to working with partner hospitals, establishing hospital networks, managing customer experience, and developing technology and data analytics capabilities to maximize benefits so that Thais can access health insurance sustainably.

In addition, AIA Thailand has appointed Ms. Chalida Nakhonchai Assuming the position of Chief Marketing Officer, replacing Mr. Ekkarat, who has been appointed to the new position, effective from January 1, 2568, Chalida will also join the AIA Thailand Executive Committee.

For Chalida Nakornchai, she graduated with a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a master's degree in Business Administration from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, before starting her career at AIA in 2559.

Currently, she is the Director of Digital X, responsible for digital marketing, customer marketing, AIA Prestige program for high net worth clients, digital platform partnerships, and marketing technology (MarTech). In her current role, Chalida has elevated digital marketing potential to the next level by introducing new products and campaigns, systematically building a customer base through various marketing channels, and developing technology tools and platforms to create better experiences for individual customers.
