Nokia signs 5G patent agreement with Vivo, expects to start realizing net sales Q1/2567, and resolves all pending patent litigation between the parties in all jurisdictions.
On February 5, 2567, The Business Times news agency reported that Nokia Finnish telecommunications equipment manufacturer It said it had signed a multi-year 5G patent license agreement with Living Chinese smartphone vendor and will begin recognizing net sales from the deal in the first quarter of 2567.
Nokia said in a statement: “The agreement ends all pending patent litigation between the parties in all jurisdictions. The terms of the deal remain confidential as agreed between the parties.”
This is Nokia's sixth major smartphone licensing deal in the past 6 months. and is based on agreements with Apple, Samsung, OPPO, Honor and Huawei.
“Nokia is now close to completing the renewal of its smartphone license.”
Last month, Nokia said it expected Nokia Technologies, its intellectual property licensing business, to generate operating profits of at least 1.4 billion euros ($1.51 billion) in 2567.
