Free throughout Songkran! Cabinet gives green light to exemptions Motorway toll Special Highway No. 7 and Special Highway No. 9 during 11-17 April 67

On April 2, 2567, Mr. Karom Ponpornklang, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that the Cabinet had approved the principle of the draft ministerial regulation exempting toll fees for vehicles using Expressway No. 7 and Expressway No. 9 during the Songkran festival in 2567.

From 00:01 on Thursday, April 11, 2024, to 24:00 on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, to alleviate traffic congestion and facilitate public travel on expressways during the festival period.

This will cause the government sector to lose toll revenue in the amount of 190,493,826 baht. It is estimated that traffic volume during the implementation of such measures will be approximately 5,110,485 vehicles.

However, the exemption of such fees will create economic benefits valued at 285,786,300 baht, which is estimated from the cost savings from using the car and the value from saving travel time.
