After the construction is complete, the BPT oil pipeline system will have a total distance of 52 kilometers, making it the longest and most modern oil pipeline in the country and the longest oil pipeline system in ASEAN.

The project for the extension of the northern oil pipeline system, phase 3, Saraburi-Angthong, is an important step for the company in developing the country's oil pipeline network to cover the northern and eastern regions completely, in line with the direction and policy of the Ministry of Energy, which aims to promote the development of the country's energy transportation infrastructure. The Phichit Oil Depot and the Lampang Oil Depot are strategic points for storing oil in the northern region and are important oil distribution points to neighboring countries, enabling entrepreneurs in the northern region to receive oil from five more refineries in the eastern region, reducing the price disparity between the northern region and Bangkok and its vicinity, and increasing the efficiency of oil transportation in the country to be convenient, fast, safe, and produce quality, clean, pure oil with minimal oil loss during transportation, reducing transportation and storage costs, supporting the economic expansion in the northern region, especially in the tourism and service sectors, and helping to reduce traffic problems and accidents that may occur from long-distance driving, as well as reducing carbon dioxide emissions, ready to support the energy transition to a low-carbon society in Thailand in the future.
