DSI postpones consideration of collusion case of senators as a special case after debate over information, recommends inviting EC to clarify

February 25, 2568 Special Case Committee (The National Energy Policy Council) There was a meeting no. 2/2568 with Mr. Poomtham Wechayachai The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, in his capacity as the supervisor of security agencies, is the chairman of the committee to consider important agenda items to be proposed for a resolution to accept as a special case.

One of the issues is the case of the selection of senators whose processes or behaviors were not honest or fair, which is a behavior that may be an offense under the Organic Law on the Acquisition of Senators B.E. 2561 and the Criminal Code.

In the investigation case No. 151/2567, the request to investigate the process of selecting the 2567 Senate members, the Special Case Committee (SCPC) has resolved to approve it as a special case under Section 21, paragraph one (2), or as another criminal case, because it has considered that this case is an offense against the internal security of the Kingdom, by making it known to the public by words, writings, or any other means, which is not an act in accordance with the intention of the Constitution, for the public to violate the law of the land, according to the Criminal Code, Section 116 (3), Section 209 (Troops), the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand B.E. 2560, Section 107 of the Organic Act on the Acquisition of Senate Members B.E. 2561, and the offense under the Anti-Money Laundering Act B.E. 2542, that

During the meeting of the Special Case Committee (SCC), it appeared that all the committee members debated the information until finally the committee members proposed to postpone the resolution, stating that they had to invite the EC to provide an explanation. As for the progress details, they will report again because the announcement of the meeting results of the Department of Special Investigation is still scheduled without any changes.
