BOI joins hands with Taiwan PCB Association to attract major investment, reveals that investment waves have flowed into Thailand for more than 3 billion baht in the past 2 years, pushing to upgrade Thailand to become a world-class PCB production base.

March 6, 2568 Mr. Narit Therdsatheerasak, Secretary-GeneralBoard of Investment (BOI) Revealed that amidst the investment trend in Thailand in the electronic circuit board (PCB) industry group that has increased significantly over the past 2 years

Taiwan Printed Circuit Association (TPCA) has organized a visit to Thailand for its members, which are leading PCB manufacturers and related component manufacturers along the supply chain, to study investment opportunities.

By joining with BOI Thailand Printed Circuit Association (THPCA) organize an event “TPCA Thailand PCB Forum 2025” At Avani Sukhumvit Hotel, Bangkok on March 5, 2568

To serve as a platform for exchanging investment information and creating a network of cooperation to develop the PCB industry in Thailand to grow strongly, including cooperation in preparing public utilities and highly skilled personnel, with a total of more than 200 participants.

Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) are the heart of all electronic devices and are a basic industry for further development into other target industries. Whether it's electric vehicles, telecommunications, medical devices, smart appliances, computers, digital systems, automation systems and robots.

In the past 3 years (2565-2567), PCB and PCBA manufacturers, as well as manufacturers of key raw materials such as Copper Clad Laminate and Prepreg, have applied for investment promotion from the BOI for more than 130 projects, with a total investment value of more than 202,000 billion baht, resulting in Thailand becoming the number 1 PCB manufacturer in the ASEAN region and ranked in the Top 5 in the world.

With major manufacturers from Taiwan being promoted, such as ZDT, Unimicron, Compeq, WUS, Gold Circuit, Unitech, Dynamic, etc., this group will produce PCBs with advanced technology, including High-Density Interconnect PCB, Flexible PCB, and Multilayer PCB, which are used in various AI and advanced electronic products.

Most PCB manufacturers are located in Prachin Buri, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya and Samut Prakan provinces, and most of them will start production this year.

“The recent escalation of geopolitical conflicts has led to a major shift in production bases in the electronics industry, one of the world’s strategic industries. Many manufacturers have decided to invest in Thailand, especially PCB manufacturers from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Japan.

Because we see Thailand’s strengths in infrastructure readiness, industrial estates, stable electricity system, clean energy potential, strong supply chain, quality personnel, and government support measures, making Thailand an important destination for investment in PCB production and export to the world market.” Mr. Narit said.
