Kasikorn Asset Management Co., Ltd. makes an offensive move Thai ESGX makes profits and receives dividends Invite to seize the opportunity from Thai stocks with high dividends, sustainable investment with tax refund

Kasikorn Asset Management sees Thai stocks with high dividends as interesting in the long term, especially Thai sustainable stocks with high dividend payout potential, and is launching a new fund, Thai ESGX, focusing on stocks that consistently pay dividends at a level higher than the market average, including K-HDThaiESGX, which invests 100% in sustainable stocks with high dividends, and K-70ThaiESGX, which invests in a mix of 70% in sustainable stocks with high dividends and 30% in sustainable debt instruments. The first offering is open to new investors only between 2-8 May.

Mr. Win Phromphaet, CFA, Chairman of the Executive Board, Kasikorn Asset Management Co., Ltd. (Kasikorn Asset Management Co., Ltd.) It was revealed that “high-dividend Thai stocks” are still very interesting in the long term because it is expected that the Bank of Thailand may reduce interest rates to stimulate the economy, which will benefit listed companies with high dividend policies. The interest rate cut will help reduce the company’s financial costs, resulting in a tendency for net profits to improve and increase the potential for dividend payments.

In this regard, Kasikorn Asset Management has launched two Thai ESGX funds: K-HDThaiESGX Focus on investing in sustainable stocks with high dividends 100% and K-70ThaiESGX Focus on investing in a mix of sustainable stocks with high dividends of 70% and sustainable debt instruments of 30%, with 2 share classes to choose from for both new investments and for switching from LTF.

Mr. Win continued that Kasikorn Asset Management has scheduled the first sale between May 2-8, 2568, only for the Share Class for new investment, with a maximum tax deduction of 300,000 baht, and is preparing to open sales for both Share Classes again between May 2 - June 13, 30, with a maximum tax deduction of 2568 baht for 2568 from both Share Classes.

Switching from LTF to Thai ESGX fund can reduce tax by 500,000 baht, divided into 2568 baht in 300,000 and 2569 baht per year in 2572-50,000. This is an interesting option for those who hold the original LTF fund to increase the opportunity to receive consistent returns from receiving high dividends in the long term, while also receiving continuous tax benefits.

“The interesting highlight of the Thai ESGX fund from Kasikorn Asset Management is its investment policy in sustainable Thai stocks according to the SET High Dividend 30 Index (SETHD), which is an interesting option for long-term investment, supported by factors such as

1.) Stocks of large, leading companies with high quality and high dividend paying potential help reduce portfolio volatility in uncertain market conditions.

2.) Stocks in the SETHD index still have a significantly lower valuation than the SET index.

And 3) More than 90% of stocks in the SETHD index have received a high SET ESG Rating, reflecting quality, consistent dividend returns and consideration of sustainability.

In the short term, Moody's negative credit outlook for Thai stocks is expected to have an impact on sentiment, which may be pressured mainly by the overall economy and confidence. However, stocks in the SETHD group are defensive plays during the economic slowdown, which are still interesting because they are large companies with stable cash flow and strong balance sheets, allowing them to pay higher dividends than the overall market.

Kasikorn Asset Management still forecasts the dividend yield of the SETHD index this year and the next 2 years at approximately 5-6% per year, which is an interesting level for those who want a steady income. In addition, the fund has a policy to invest in various types of high-quality Thai debt instruments, which is an opportunity to create good returns, especially during this period when interest rates tend to decrease like this.” Mr. Win said

Mr. Win added that the Thai ESGX fund from Kasikorn Asset Management is a fund managed and operated with an active management strategy that focuses on investing in stocks with a dividend payout rate higher than the market average, which is the same approach as the K-VALUE fund, which has an investment policy in Thai stocks following the SETHD index as well. The K-VALUE fund was able to generate the second highest return in the Thai equity fund group (Equity Large-cap) at -2.6%, higher than the SET index, which provided a return of -16.2% (Source: Morningstar as of March 31, 68).

Interested investors can conveniently and safely purchase the Thai ESGX fund from Kasikorn Asset Management via the K PLUS App and K-My Funds. Investment starts at only 500 baht. For more information, please contact the KAsset Contact Center at 0 2673 3888.
