With Mr. Phumtham Vejjayachai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, General Nattapol Nakphanit, Deputy Minister of Defense, along with the Governor of Surin Province, the Governor of Ubon Ratchathani Province, the Governor of Sisaket Province, the Governor of Buriram Province, the Governor of Sa Kaeo Province, the Commander of the 2nd Army Region, and executives of local government agencies attending the meeting.

Mr. Jirayu Huangtrakul, spokesman for the Prime Minister's Office Revealed that after listening to the briefing on the situation in the area, it was found that the situation has improved a lot. The government has ordered support and assistance for people in the 7 border provinces by having the provincial governors, the 2nd Army commander, and representatives of various agencies continuously take care of the people.

The Prime Minister thanked the governors of all border provinces and the commander of the 2nd Army for reporting on the progress and situation in the area. From listening to information about shelters, he asked the Ministry of Interior to urgently survey them to ensure readiness, including providing knowledge to students about the methods and learning how to use them because there may be other dangers such as natural disasters or other disasters.

While the 2nd Army Commander, who was at the site the whole time, reported on the readiness in all dimensions, both in taking care of the people in the area and in terms of security. From the official discussion, both Thailand and Cambodia agreed on peace, especially that Thailand does not want violence and will prioritize the safety of lives and property of the people and the safety of the officials working at the site.

The Prime Minister continued that the Ministry of Interior is like a “house, while soldiers are the fence.” He asked for them to work together in an integrated manner and asked the governors of each province to be team leaders to work together and coordinate what events are happening along the border, including surveying the safety of the area, whether it is shelters or whether the four necessities are sufficient.
