Thai stocks today adjusted down in the range of 1,120-1,140 points, receiving tensions in the Middle East and pressure from domestic politics.

Thai stocks today, June 13, analysts expect them to adjust down in the range of 1,120-1,140 points, following foreign stock markets, due to the negative investment atmosphere after Israel launched airstrikes against Iran. Meanwhile, domestic factors yesterday saw the Medical Council vote to punish three doctors involved in treating Thaksin at the Police General Hospital, causing concerns about political issues.
June 13, 2568. InnovateX Securities expects the market to fluctuate downwards. A break below 1,127 could be the start of a new downtrend, with the next support level at 1,120 or lower. Resistance is at 1,135/1,140. If the index cannot hold above this level, it will only be a short-term rebound before falling further. This morning, attention should be paid to the Supreme Court's hearing in the Thaksin case, which could impact the Thai stock market sentiment through political considerations.
In the short term, we see SET moving sideways due to factors that need to be monitored such as the trade agreement between the US and its trading partners, especially China, India, and Japan, uncertainty in Thai politics (cabinet reshuffle), and the impact of DELTA from the new calculation criteria of the Stock Exchange of Thailand that limits the weight of individual stocks in SET50/SET100, which will start on July 1st. However, we believe that in early April, SET will adjust down close to the critical level (Downside at 1,032 points), reflecting the impact from US tax policy, which has already passed its worst point.
We maintain our view that if the index declines to the 1,120-1,100 point range, it will present an opportunity for medium-to-long-term investors to gradually accumulate positions. Our investment strategy remains a "Selective Buy" approach.
Mr. Apichart Phubanchaikul, CISA, Senior Director of Strategic Analysis at TISCO Securities, stated that the Thai stock market is expected to decline this morning due to a negative investment sentiment following Israel's airstrikes against Iran. This has caused Dow Jones and Nasdaq futures to fall by more than 1%, and regional stock markets are also down more than 1% this morning, which could negatively impact investment sentiment today.
While yesterday's factor was that the Medical Council meeting voted by more than 2/3 to confirm the original resolution on 8 May 68 to punish 3 doctors involved in the treatment of Mr. Thaksin Shinawatra, the former Prime Minister, on the 14th floor of the Police General Hospital, causing increased concern about the start of the investigation into Mr. Thaksin's case today. It is recommended to follow the meeting of the leaders of the G7 countries this weekend, especially the trade negotiations with Japan.
The support level is 1,120 points, the next support level is 1,100 points, and the resistance level is 1,130 – 1,150 points.
Pie Securities estimates the SET Index will move within the range of 1,120 – 1,140. There may be pressure from global stock markets fluctuating downwards due to concerns in the Middle East, but the SET will be supported by the oil sector. In the short term, trading opportunities may include oil stocks (PTTEP) and defensive stocks (BDMS, ADVANC, BH). Additionally, they like the industrial estate sector (AMATA, WHA).
