PM discusses with French President to elevate Thai-French relations to strategic partnership, reiterates Thailand's commitment to discuss with Cambodia to find peaceful solution to border issues through bilateral mechanisms

Especially in the areas of space technology, defense and clean energy, to elevate Thailand-France relations to a strategic partnership that adheres to the shared values ​​of promoting free international trade and a world order based on international rules.

I underscored Thailand's proactive role in promoting ASEAN centrality, as well as Thailand's commitment to address transnational crimes, particularly online fraud, a threat affecting many countries around the world.

He also reiterated Thailand's commitment to discuss with Cambodia to find a peaceful solution to the border problem through existing bilateral mechanisms, to which President Macron expressed his understanding of Thailand's stance and was ready to support it.

I would also like to thank France for supporting Thailand in the negotiations of the Thailand-EU Free Trade Agreement and Thailand's application for membership in the OECD, which will bring long-term benefits to both parties.
