"Paethongtarn" pushes for 4 soft powers: Quick wins: "Movies-Food-Muay Thai-Health"

“Paethongtarn” gives policy to accelerate 4 soft powers “Quick Win”: Film, Food, Muay Thai, Health, pushing Thai economy to grow quickly, elevate economy, stimulate tourism and create jobs quickly.

Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister and Minister of Culture The first meeting of the Ministry of Culture's senior executives to provide work policies, emphasizing the importance of 4 main industries that will see quick results (Quick Win), namely:

• movies: In addition to supporting Cash Rebate, it also aims to promote the production of quality Thai films as a medium to present culture and create awareness for the country.
• food: Promoting Thai food to be known and in demand worldwide will help promote the tourism sector and the restaurant business.
• Thai boxing: Muay Thai is a unique soft power that is popular worldwide. Promotion will help attract tourists and create added value for related industries.
• health: The health industry, whether it is Thai traditional medicine, spas or wellness tourism, has high potential to attract tourists and generate income for the country.

The Prime Minister concluded by saying that these four industries will help stimulate the economy, promote tourism, and create jobs quickly, as well as benefit the tourism, food, and hotel industries. If any matter can be linked with the Ministry of Culture, he is ready to support and promote both the private and public sectors, hoping that the work from now on will see tangible results soon.

In particular, the promotion of the Cash Rebate policy (refund for foreign film crews) that come to film in Thailand. Currently, the refund is set at 30%, but I personally would like to see additional assistance for film groups in Thailand to support Thai films further.
