July 15, 2568 at the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Public Health Dr. Opas Karnkawinpong Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Health Chaired the 4th/2568 meeting of the Office of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Health, instructing all subordinate agencies to urgently prepare for floods, storms, and mudslides, and complete them by July. There are 5 measures:
- Review the current incident command system structure
- Prepare emergency response teams in various areas
- Assessing the risks of healthcare facilities
- Reserve medicines/medical supplies according to specified criteria.
- Research vulnerable groups to ensure effective care for the public when a situation arises.
It also monitors progress in important operations, such as the assessment of the Hospital Safety Index (HSI), which looks at both structural and non-structural risks, as well as emergency and disaster management, to ensure that services can be provided at all times, before, during and after a disaster.
Of the 650 locations, 903 have been in operation and found to have a Safety Index Level A, capable of operating and providing services normally in a disaster situation in 517 locations; Level B, capable of providing services to some extent in a disaster situation in 130 locations; and Level C, with a high risk of not being able to provide services in a disaster situation in 3 locations. All locations will be urgently evaluated and improved to meet the criteria.
For the progress of the establishment of the Clinical Medical Education Center At present, there are 41 clinical medical education centers in the rural doctor production project, 16 partner universities, 10 more clinical medical education centers outside the project, 7 partner universities, and 18 hospitals under the Office of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Health with potential.
which will assess readiness, create cooperation with medical school institutions, and establish a clinical medical education center. This year, there is also good news: the project to produce more doctors for rural people of the Ministry of Public Health has received the ASPIRE RECOGNITION OF EXCELLENCE IN INSPIRATIONAL APPROACHES TO HEALTH PROFESSION EDUCATION award from AMEE (The International Association for Health Professions Education), a European medical education association. The award will be received in August 2568 in Spain.
