Thai stocks in the morning of July 25 closed at 1,210.75 points, down 1.74 points, with a trading value of 20,532 million baht. The index fluctuated in a narrow range as investors began to absorb all the good news in the short term, including progress in regional trade negotiations with the US and the election of a new BOT governor. Today, the market is under short-term pressure from the situation on the Thai-Cambodian border.

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) index closed this morning, July 25, at 1,210.75 points, down 1.74 points (-0.14%), with a trading value of approximately 20,532 million baht.

In the morning, there was trading of 1 securities on the big board (BIG LOT) 1 items, MEB was found to have the highest value at 3.8 million baht, with an average price of 19 baht per share.

Mr. Watan Jitsomnuk, Director of Strategic Analysis, Phai Securities He said that the stock market this morning fluctuated within a narrow range of 2-3 points after the market had absorbed all the good news in the short term, starting from the trade negotiation situation with the United States, where almost all countries in the region have reached a conclusion, such as Japan, Indonesia, or Vietnam, as well as news of the election of a new Governor of the Bank of Thailand (BOT), which tends to ease monetary policy. Both of these factors caused Thai stocks to adjust significantly over the past week.

Today, SET is under short-term pressure from the Thai-Cambodian border situation. However, since Thailand has relatively few exports to Cambodia and tourists from Cambodia, the overall economy will not be affected much. In addition, today is the last day before the 3-day long holiday, so investors may not dare to make a decision, especially since Thailand has not yet reached a conclusion on the US tariff rate.

Therefore, we must follow up on how Thailand will finally conclude its trade deal with the United States, which should be known within the next week before the August 1 deadline. We should also wait and see the US labor figures report next week. For this afternoon, resistance is 1,220 points and support is 1,200 points.
