Bo Hines posted on X confirming her resignation, returning to the private sector but still serving as an AI and crypto advisor to White House “AI & Crypto Czar” David Sacks. Patrick Witt is expected to take over.

Yesterday (9 August) Bo Hines, director of the White House Presidential Council of Advisers for Digital Assets, also known as the “crypto council,” has announced his resignation to return to the private sector. Through the X platform, stating that

“Serving in the Trump administration and working with the incredible AI & Crypto expert David Sacks as Executive Director of the White House Crypto Council has been the honor of my life. Together, we are driving America towards becoming the crypto hub of the world.

I am incredibly grateful for the unwavering support from this industry. I love this community and everything we have built together.

As I return to the private sector, I look forward to continuing to support the crypto ecosystem as it continues to grow strongly in the United States.”

It is expected that Patrick Witt, the deputy director of the council, will take over the position.
