AH Q2 core profit grows 13.4%, prepares to enter EV market

AH reported Q2 2568 operating results, achieving growth targets, with total revenue of 6.6 billion baht and core profit of 113 million baht, driven by the recovery of the domestic automotive industry. AH is preparing to expand into the EV and automation markets, and is ready to pay a dividend of 0.31 baht per share in September.
Mr. Yeap Soo Chuan, Chief Executive Officer of Apico Hitech Public Company Limited (AH), revealed the operating results for the second quarter of 2025, stating that the company continues to maintain its strength and adapt well to market volatility despite facing challenging economic conditions. Core net profit (excluding exchange rate gains/losses) was 113 million baht, an increase of 13.4% from the same period last year, and total revenue was 6,630 million baht, an increase of 2.1%.
This growth was driven by the recovery of the Thai automotive industry, which resulted in a 7.6% increase in vehicle production and an increase in orders from key customers, while revenue from domestic dealerships also grew by 7.6%.
The company was also boosted by a 29.9% increase in profit share from its associates and joint ventures in Thailand to 65 million baht, and a 6.5% reduction in selling and administrative expenses, despite increased costs from a power outage at its Portugal plant.
Mr. Yeap Soo Chuan also discussed the future business direction , stating that the company is committed to expanding globally through collaboration with partners to develop components for electric vehicles (EVs) and automation systems. He believes that Thailand's "China Plus One" strategy will be crucial in strengthening its capabilities in supply chain development and diversification.
The Company's Board of Directors has approved a dividend payment from the first half of the year at a rate of 0.31 baht per share, with the ex-dividend date set for August 28, 2568, and the payment date set for September 10, 2568.
