Asian stock markets fell, following Wall Street's decline, as Japan's exports fell sharply in more than four years.

Asian stock markets were lower on Wednesday, August 20, 2568, tracking Wall Street's gains the previous night, as investors awaited Japanese trade data and a decision on China's lending rates.

Japan's exports fell 2.6% in July from a year earlier, the biggest decline in more than four years and more than the 4% decline economists polled by Reuters had expected. In June, exports fell just 2.1%.
