The Rubber Authority of Thailand (RAOT) has injected 2,800 million baht to support rubber farmers in cutting down and replanting their own trees.

The Rubber Authority of Thailand (RAOT) has allocated a budget of 2,800 billion baht to expedite approval and payment to rubber farmers who cut down and replant their own trees. The goal is to complete all projects by September 15th.

Dr. Pik Lertwangphong, Acting Governor of the Rubber Authority of Thailand He said that there are currently a large number of rubber farmers who have applied for replanting and are awaiting approval for promotion and support for replanting.

The RAOT has compiled the remaining applications from those who intend to cut down rubber trees and replant them using their own funds before receiving approval, with a plan to complete the cutting and replanting in fiscal year 2568.

In this regard, farmers have submitted their own application forms for felling and replanting with their own funds before receiving approval (Form RAOT 4), totaling 36,283 cases, representing a total area of ​​346,685.90 rai. RAOT has approved a budget for 2568 from the Rubber Development Fund, according to Section 49(2), totaling 2,860,431,552.20 baht.

For the project to cut down rubber trees and replant them using farmers' funds, it has already been approved by the RAOT. Currently, the Rubber Authority of Thailand (RAOT) has approved applications for 302,452.10 rai of rubber plantations (as of August 27, 68), representing 87.24% of the total applications. A 100% approval is expected by August 29.

Currently, the RAOT has disbursed 46,142,294.21 baht to support, encourage, and assist rubber farmers who applied for land felling and replanting with their own funds before receiving approval from the RAOT. This disbursement will be completed by September 15, 2568. Farmers in this project can apply for financial support at their nearest RAOT provincial office/branch.

This project is one of the projects the RAOT has been continuously implementing to help reduce the cost of planting new rubber trees and provide revolving funds for farmers to efficiently manage their rubber plantations.
