ACE Q3 68: 6 more power plant projects to achieve COD, supporting continued growth in second half performance

ACE is preparing to launch commercial operations (COD) of 10 more power plant projects under development, with 3 projects to achieve COD in Q68 6 and 4 projects in Q68 4, driving strong performance growth in the second half of the year.

On September 3, 2025 , Mr. Thanachai Banditvorapoom, Chief Executive Officer of Absolute Clean Energy Public Company Limited (ACE), stated that the company continues to operate according to its plan. During the third quarter of 2025, approximately 6 projects are expected to commence commercial operation (COD), and an additional 4 projects are projected to commence COD in the fourth quarter of 2025, bringing the total to 10 projects. This will significantly boost the company's performance in the second half of the year compared to the first half.

Currently, the company has a total of 92 power plant projects with a total installed capacity of 758.25 megawatts, including:

  • 37 power plant projects have already reached COD, with a total installed capacity of 366.16 megawatts.
  • There are 55 power plants under development with a total installed capacity of 392.09 megawatts, comprising 9 VSPP biomass power plants and 7 community waste power plants.

The company may also consider investing in new projects, with several currently under discussion. The company will consider these projects with greater care and selectiveness, while remaining committed to its goal of becoming a "global clean energy business leader" and achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 93.

Regarding the downward trend in interest rates, the company benefits positively in terms of financing costs for investing in each power plant , which uses approximately 70% borrowed from financial institutions and 30% company-funded. Bank interest rates include both the MLR (Minimum Lending Rate) and the THOR (Repurchase Agreement Rate), both of which are floating rates. Therefore, when interest rates decrease, the company benefits significantly, as the THOR rate will decrease immediately, while the MLR will adjust downwards as announced by various financial institutions.

The company has negotiated with financial institutions to adjust the appropriateness of the loan type according to appropriate risk management, some of which are tied to THOR, resulting in an immediate reduction in interest rates.
