Anutin has announced three ministerial candidates: Ekniti Nitithanpraphat will oversee the Ministry of Finance; Sihasak Phuangkesakaew will oversee the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Atthaphon Rerkpiboon, former CEO of PTT, will oversee the Ministry of Energy.

Mr. Anutin introduced the media to the position, specifying that Mr. Sihasak would be Minister of Foreign Affairs and Mr. Ekniti would be Minister of Finance, stating that they were chosen based on their abilities, experience, dedication, and sacrifice.

Mr. Anutin stated that the prospective Finance Minister has been with the Ministry of Finance for a long time. He possesses extensive experience working both domestically and internationally, having served as Director-General of several departments, including Director of the Fiscal Policy Office, Director of State Enterprises, Director-General of the Revenue Department, Director-General of the Excise Department, and Director-General of the Treasury Department. He possesses the knowledge and skills to coordinate with regular departments and ensure uninterrupted operations.
"Reviving the Half-Half project is possible if it's beneficial and meets the needs of the people. Today, I'm watching it all over my feed. I'll expedite the assignment for the Finance Minister to expedite his consideration. Once he's fully employed, we'll proceed, as we have limited time."
As for whether there will be a continuation of the original application, Mr. Anutin confirmed that "Whatever is good, we will continue to do. We won't come in and say, 'This isn't ours,' and cause the people suffering. This is something my government will never do."
Regarding the Thai-Cambodian dispute over the amendment of MOUs 43 and 44, Mr. Anutin stated that if Sihasak Phuangketkeow's name is mentioned, he believes everyone in the diplomatic, international relations, and economic circles will be satisfied and confident in this government's inclusion. Amidst the ongoing problems, they must be resolved quickly. Therefore, an experienced person must be brought in, one recognized internationally, to address the issues quickly.
As for whether the minister-elect is confident he can solve this problem, Mr. Sihasak said it is important and requires laying a long-term foundation. Regarding whether he views this as a hot potato, he confirmed that everything must be given importance.
Mr. Anutin revealed that the invitation for Director-General Ekniti to serve as an outsider minister required several days of consideration, as he still has six years of service and significant potential for career advancement. However, he has decided to make a sacrifice for the benefit of the nation and its people. After two to three nights of deliberation, he accepted the position, reinforcing his commitment to public service. He is confident that his qualifications and experience will lead to diverse career opportunities in the future.
"I can confirm that the Cabinet's appearance is definitely not ugly. It must be a Cabinet that, once in office, can get to work right away. My slogan, 'Do it today, finish it yesterday,' is still our guideline for working."
As for whether the formation of a government will be completed within one to two days, Mr. Anutin said he will do so as quickly as possible and is constantly considering various political regulations. He believes the political situation is now clear. In four months, Parliament must be dissolved. Therefore, everything must be done within the next four months to achieve results, progress, and solve problems as much as possible.
Mr. Atthaphon Rerkpiboon is the prospective Minister of Energy.
