The event was attended by Mr. Pradorn Prisananantakul, Minister to the Prime Minister's Office, Mr. Arsit Sampantharat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, and private sector executives.

While the term "sustainability" is frequently heard these days, few people fully understand its meaning. He praised the organizers for recognizing the importance of sustainable development, leading to the creation of Sustainability Expo 2025, which aims to foster knowledge, understanding, and collaborative efforts to create tangible change, particularly in trade and industry.

The Prime Minister said Thailand is at a crucial turning point. The world is facing uncertainties from economic competition and climate change. “The question is… where are we taking Thailand?”

The Prime Minister answered that "We must develop sustainably.” And believe as many people believe that “This is not a choice, but a way out.” The meaning of the word "sustainability" isn't just about a green world or environmental conservation, which are also important. Sustainability also involves ensuring these three key issues: 1. A stable economy, 2. A stable society, and 3. A stable environment move forward steadily. This means creating jobs and income, ensuring the well-being of Thai people, and preserving a world where our children and grandchildren will continue to enjoy good health. But the biggest challenge is that today's world isn't as simple as it once was.

The government has prepared to provide healthcare for its citizens, requiring a significant amount of reserve funds for care. This money, in addition to supporting quality of life and national development, also requires sustainable development that is appropriate to the social and national conditions.

The Prime Minister stated that Thailand needs to be viewed from multiple perspectives, particularly within the context of the ASEAN region. Thailand is the only country in the region with abundant geography and is connected to various areas via the East-West Corridor, giving it the potential to become a hub for trade and investment in ASEAN. Thailand also enjoys advantages in its diverse culture and traditions, with no religious conflicts, enabling everyone to coexist and work together. Furthermore, despite experiencing numerous crises, Thailand's politics remain stable and enjoy continued economic support.

The Prime Minister continued: “The key is to adapt to global rules, while also seeking new markets to expand competition. These markets must be able to support our products and production base.”

The government is ready to support and use every means to create opportunities for Thailand, both for industrial development and for the livelihoods of all citizens. Thailand must educate the public on the importance of a green society and must improve and create incentives for those who use clean energy and environmentally friendly production processes.

The government will also lay the foundation for increased public participation in sustainability through the "Community Solar" or "Mass Solar" project, which encourages citizens to install rooftop solar panels to efficiently utilize solar energy. Crucially, this initiative will also involve converting excess energy into the system, selling it, and generating income for the community.

"This government stands ready to fully support all sectors in all dimensions to drive national economic, social, and health sustainability. We look forward to closer exchanges and connections, fostering effective communication between the government, business sector, and the public, ultimately leading to the greatest benefit for our country, Thailand."
