Thai stocks closed at 1,293.61 points today, October 3rd, up 5.32 points, with a trading value of 35,659 billion baht. This was boosted by expectations of a US interest rate cut following a continued slowdown in private sector employment figures, which spurred capital inflows into Asian markets.

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) index on October 3 closed at 1,293.61 points, an increase of 5.32 points (+0.41%). Trading value was 35,659.08 million baht, foreigners net sold 623.50 million baht, funds bought net 831.06 million baht.

Mr. Kornphat Worachet, Head of Research, Krungsri Securities He said the Thai stock market index continued to fluctuate today, boosted by expectations of a US Federal Reserve (Fed) interest rate cut at its late October meeting, following the release of a continued slowdown in private sector employment figures. Although no non-farm payroll figures were reported due to the US government shutdown, monetary policy is expected to be implemented at the upcoming meeting. Asian stock markets are being driven by capital inflows.

Trends for next week (October 6, 2568 – October 10, 2568) The index is expected to continue rising, driven by domestic factors, which are entering China Golden Week. The "Half-Half" measure will be discussed at the Cabinet meeting and the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting, where the market expects a vote to cut interest rates. A 0.25% cut would support further gains for Thai stocks.
