BAM, as the leader in the AMC business, is preparing to host a historic seminar, BAM SYMPOSIUM: New Era of AMC 2025, by joining forces with key agencies, including asset management companies, the National Credit Bureau, and leading real estate companies, to showcase their vision of NPL management and NPA investment in a new dimension. This year's biggest event for the AMC business will be held on October 28, 2568.
Dr. Rak Worakijpokathorn, Chief Executive Officer, Bangkok Commercial Asset Management Public Company Limited or BAM said Amidst signs of recovery in the Thai economy, which still faces pressure from "household debt" and "SME debt" at record highs, BAM, as a leader in the AMC business, is preparing to organize the annual seminar, BAM SYMPOSIUM: New Era of AMC 2025, on October 28, 2568, at Dusit Thani Bangkok. Mr. Vitai Ratanakorn, Governor of the Bank of Thailand, was honored to preside over the opening ceremony.
For the seminar of the year BAM SYMPOSIUM : New Era of AMC 2025Key agencies in the asset management, real estate, and national credit bureau sectors have joined together to share their visions on NPL management to unlock NPLs for AMC businesses and NPA management to find survival and investment options for NPAs.
With important topics including:

Dr. Rak added that BAM, as the country's largest AMC, plays a key role as a national "monkey cheek," managing the problem of non-performing loans (NPLs) and preventing them from flooding the financial institution system. This effort involves effectively managing and resolving non-performing assets (NPLs) and non-performing loans (NPAs), helping to mitigate risks during times of economic volatility and creating investment opportunities.
By leveraging these assets to create added value and worthwhile returns, it reflects BAM's role in supporting the economic system and creating sustainable growth for Thai society. NPL management involves debt restructuring using a Recycling Machine process, which includes the creation of a debt resolution factory (TDR Factory) to rehabilitate debtors and restore them to better financial health.
Meanwhile, NPAs are pursuing the NPA Partnership strategy, a key strategy aimed at expanding their business base and generating increased revenue through collaboration with potential partner companies. This strategy aims to transform "undocumented assets" into "value-creating assets," further developing them into assets that generate consistent income for BAM, reducing holding periods, and generating higher returns over the long term. To date, BAM has resolved over 160,000 debts, totaling over 500,000 billion baht in principal. Over 55,000 assets have been sold, with an appraised value of over 129,000 billion baht. Each year, BAM has the capacity to acquire and manage approximately 100,000 billion baht in non-performing assets.
