JPMorgan CEO warns the US stock market is at risk of a sharp correction within the next six months to two years amid a host of risk factors, and warns that the market is showing signs of overheating.

On October 9, 2025 at 1:47 a.m., Reuters reported that Jamie Dimon, CEO of banking giant JPMorgan Chase Warning that The US stock market is at risk of a significant correction within the next six months to two years.

Diamond said “I worry about this more than anyone else.” along with stating that There are a number of factors creating an atmosphere of uncertainty in the market, particularly geopolitical tensions, government spending and the return of global remilitarization.

“All of these are factors that create a lot of problems, and we still don’t know how to respond.” He said in an interview with the BBC, warning that: The US stock market is increasingly facing the risk of overheating.

However, Dimon said he was concerned about inflation but maintained confidence in the independence of the Federal Reserve (Fed) despite criticism from President Donald Trump's administration of current Fed Chair Jerome Powell.

Last month, Dimon expressed caution about the US economic outlook. It cautions that the full impact of Trump's tax policies, government spending, geopolitical trends and import tariffs remains unclear, as these factors are long-term cyclical in nature.
