The Prime Minister will attend the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting from October 29 to November 1, 68, in Gyeongju, Republic of Korea, and will meet with leaders and representatives from 21 economic zones to promote cooperation.

October 29, 2568 Mr. Siripong Angkasakulkiat, Government Spokesperson revealed that Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, will travel to attend the 32nd APEC Economic Leaders' Week and Related Meetings (APEC Economic Leaders' Week – AELW) from October 29 to November 1, 2568, in Gyeongju, Republic of Korea. Under the theme “Building a Sustainable Tomorrow,” the event aims to connect the region through innovation and cooperation for shared prosperity.

A spokesman for the Prime Minister's Office stated that As one of the founding members of APEC, Thailand has consistently played a key role in driving economic cooperation in the region. Thailand has hosted the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting three times: in 1992, 2003, and 2022. In 2565, Thailand promoted the "Bangkok Goals on BCG Economy" as APEC's first widely accepted integrated sustainability framework.

In this meeting The Prime Minister will use the APEC forum to showcase the new government's role in building confidence in Thailand's economic potential among the global community. He will also reiterate his support for multilateralism, centered around the World Trade Organization (WTO), along with promoting new areas of cooperation that represent strategic opportunities for the region, such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI), adapting to demographic changes, and inclusive economic development.

The Prime Minister's important missions include the 32nd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting, both sessions, namely:

• Session I (October 31, 2568) will focus on “Towards a More Connected, Resilient Region and Beyond,” in which Thailand will focus on strengthening economic, trade, investment, and supply chain connectivity, as well as promoting public-private partnerships to address global challenges.
• Session II (November 1, 2568) on the topic “Preparing a Future–Ready Asia–Pacific”, Thailand will propose approaches to prepare the region for the future through the application of AI technology, innovation, and creating inclusive and sustainable growth.

In addition to the main meeting, the Prime Minister will attend important business activities, including:

• The 2025 APEC CEO Summit, in which the Prime Minister will deliver a special address under the theme “Bridge. Business. Beyond.”
• The ABAC Dialogue with APEC Economic Leaders to exchange views and promote cooperation in trade, investment, innovation and sustainable development.
• Meeting with the US – APEC Business Coalition, an association of large US businesses that are active members of APEC.
• Bilateral discussions with APEC Economic Leaders and key business sectors, including attending the APEC Economic Leaders' Gala Dinner, to strengthen friendly relations with leaders and representatives of key private sectors in the region and promote Thailand's image on the global economic stage.

This year's APEC Leaders' Meeting, hosted by the Republic of Korea in Gyeongju, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, will be held under the three main themes of Connect – Innovate – Prosper, aiming to connect the region through innovation and drive shared prosperity. Five key outcome documents are expected:

1. 32nd APEC Leaders' Gyeongju Declaration
2. APEC AI Initiative
3. Regional Collaboration Framework to Support Demographic Change
4. Leaders' Statement on Cooperation in the Cultural and Creative Industries
5. 36th APEC Joint Ministerial Statement
