SME D Bank launches debt relief and emergency capital measures to help SMEs affected by flooding in the South.

SME D Bank is offering a 12-month suspension of principal and interest payments and an emergency fund for business rehabilitation. The loan period is 3 years, with a 12-month grace period for principal repayment. Applications are accepted from November 24, 2568 onwards.
24 Nov 2568 Mr. Pichit Mitrawong, Managing Director of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Bank of Thailand (SME Bank) Or SME D Bank revealed that the flooding situation in Hat Yai District and many areas in the southern region has had a significant impact on business operations and caused significant damage to SME entrepreneurs in the area, both directly and indirectly.
SME D Bank is deeply concerned about its customers and SME entrepreneurs. Therefore, we are issuing urgent assistance measures for SME entrepreneurs in disaster-affected areas, as reported by the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation. These include Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Trang, Phatthalung, Satun, Songkhla, Pattani, Narathiwat, and Yala provinces, as well as other provinces as will be reported by the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation in the future. These measures will help reduce costs and allow businesses to resume operations as soon as possible.
measure “Suspend payment of principal and interest” For bank customers directly and indirectly affected in disaster-affected areas as determined by the bank, to help reduce the burden of expenses by suspending principal and interest payments for term loans for a maximum of 12 months, revolving fund withdrawal contracts in the form of promissory notes (P/N), and factoring loans, the promissory note repayment period can be extended for a maximum of 180 days, and interest payments can be suspended.
measure “Add emergency funds to repair and rehabilitate the business.” For existing customers who are directly affected, whose business is located in a disaster area as determined by the bank, to have an emergency loan to restore the business immediately. Loan amount 10% of the original amount, minimum 30,000 baht to a maximum of 200,000 baht (individuals, maximum 100,000 baht and juristic persons, maximum 200,000 baht), interest rate MLR per year, loan period 3 years, no principal repayment for 12 months, no collateral required, fee waiver, reduce the document submission process to help directly affected customers urgently.
The bank also offers additional capital-boosting loans to enhance liquidity, invest, and enhance businesses after the flood situation eases. These loans offer a special interest rate of just 3% per annum, fixed for the first three years, with repayments over a maximum of 10 years and a maximum 12-month grace period for principal repayment. The maximum loan amount is 15 million baht. These loans include: 1. "SME Green Productivity" Loan, 2. "SME Empowerment" Loan, and 3. "Beyond SME Wings" Loan.
In addition, the bank has been conducting social and environmental volunteer activities, providing initial assistance by preparing and delivering 300 "Kindness Bags" containing rice, dried food, and other daily necessities. These bags were distributed to support and alleviate hardship for people in various areas of the southern region, in Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province, on November 23, 2568.
