The Ministry of Finance has revealed that 6.4 "Half-Half Plus" merchants have successfully upgraded their skills. This group is not yet eligible for the 2,000 baht subsidy. Results are awaited on December 23, 68, via the Tung Ngern app and SMS.

The goal is to strengthen the potential of merchants in the Half-Half Plus project, where merchants will receive government support of up to 2,000 baht, according to the project's criteria and conditions. As of the end of November 24, 2568, there were a total of 64,790 merchants who had successfully developed their skills.
However, this number is not the total number of eligible recipients, as the Ministry of Finance will process the data and announce the results of the 400,000 eligible recipients on December 23, 2568, via messages on the "Tung Ngern" application and Short Message Service (SMS). The funds will also be transferred to merchants via Krungthai Bank accounts linked to the "Tung Ngern" application on December 25, 2568.
The Ministry of Finance spokesperson said the project has three channels for merchants to choose to develop their skills, including:
- Join as a merchant on the Food Delivery Platform or
- Participate in online training through the Government Savings Bank channels.
- Participate in online training through the Department of Business Development's DBD Academy channel.
Which stores can choose to develop their skills successfully through just one channel.However, it should be emphasized that stores that will receive the rights must comply with the project's qualifications and conditions, such as:
1. Stores must have been in the Half-Half Plus program at least one day prior to the date of registration/application for skills development. Therefore, if a store registers/applies for skills development on the same day or before the date of its status as a Half-Half Plus program store, it will not be eligible for government support. Therefore, business operators are asked to check the "Tung Ngern" application. If it can be accessed and eligible for the rights of citizens in the Half-Half Plus program, this will be considered the date on which skills development can begin.
2. Stores must register or apply for skills development by specifying their national identification number (in the case of individuals) or taxpayer identification number (in the case of juristic persons) to match the identification number used to apply to be a Thung Ngern store in the Half-Half Plus project only. If the numbers do not match, they will not be eligible for government support funds.
3. Participation as a merchant on a Food Delivery Platform: Merchants in the Half-Half Plus program can participate in skill development through this channel. Start by applying to be a merchant on one of the service provider's platforms (Grab / Lineman / Robinhood / ShopeeFood) between November 19, 2568, and December 19, 2568 (must not have previously applied to be a merchant on the aforementioned platform).
Once you've successfully registered as a merchant on the platform, log in to the "Tung Ngern" application to connect your store to that platform. You must complete at least five food/beverage transactions under the Half-Half Plus program through the platform, with no order cancellations. Upon meeting the aforementioned requirements, your skills development will be considered complete. For merchants who find that they do not meet the above criteria, we recommend opting to develop their skills through online training instead.
4. Online training through the Government Savings Bank's channels or the Department of Business Development's DBD Academy requires completion of one course, with the number of lessons and time period determined by oneself. The criteria for "successful skill development" are as follows:
4.1 Government Savings Bank channel: The post-test score must be no less than 60 percent and must be higher than the pre-test score.
4.2 DBD Academy channel: Post-test scores must be no less than 70% and must be higher than the pre-test scores.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Finance encourages business owners to allocate time to participate in skill development through the project, as it will create long-term benefits. Only 400,000 businesses will receive this privilege. The Ministry of Finance will consider granting privileges based on the date and time the business successfully developed its skills (First Come, First Serve).
Eligible individuals will receive a 20% government subsidy of sales generated from the Half-Half Plus program, only for the portion that the government co-pays, from the date the store successfully completes skills development until December 19, 2568, up to a maximum of 2,000 baht per individual.
