MFC targets RMF and ThaiESG funds for tax deductions, creating opportunities for long-term portfolio growth.

MFC Asset Management (MFC) has identified seven RMF-ThaiESG funds for tax deductions. They recommend diversifying your investments to generate long-term returns. These funds are carefully selected and emphasize risk diversification across a variety of assets, ensuring they are resilient to all market conditions. This year, they offer tax deductions of up to 800,000 baht.
November 29, 2568 – Mr. Chaowngorn Chotibandh, Executive Vice President – Head of Investment Strategy at MFC Asset Management Public Company Limited, or MFC, as an expert in managing quality funds both domestically and internationally, stated that this year investors can claim tax deductions of up to 800,000 baht, divided into 500,000 baht from Retirement Mutual Funds (RMF) and 300,000 baht from Thai Sustainable Development Funds (ThaiESG). Tax planning and investment diversification provide the opportunity to generate long-term returns.
Overall, global investments remain volatile, but diversified portfolios can enhance return potential. Both equities and bonds remain attractive assets. MFC estimates that global stock markets will continue to expand in the final quarter of 2568 and early 2569, with unlikely to face significant negative factors in the short term. Tax-deductible investments require strong fundamental support.
For RMF funds, we recommend four funds :
The MFC Fixed Income Retirement Fund (M-FIX) is a level 4 fund with an investment policy focused on high-quality fixed income securities. It's suitable for periods when the market is watching interest rate trends. Classified as a Mid-Term Bond fund, it's ideal for short-term cash parking, offers high liquidity, and has the potential to generate better returns than bank deposits. It's suitable for those seeking lower-risk assets than stocks.
The MFC Global Strategic Allocation Retirement Fund (MGALL-RMF) focuses on diversifying investments across various asset classes globally through the SPDR® Bridgewater® All Weather® ETF (ALLW) master fund. This fund is designed with an "All Weather" portfolio concept to be flexible and able to cope with varying market conditions, whether during economic expansion, high inflation, or recession.
The master fund is actively managed and diversified across stocks, bonds, gold and commodities worldwide. It is managed by Bridgewater, one of the world's leading hedge fund companies, founded in 1975 by Ray Dalio, who has extensive experience in managing multi-asset portfolios. The MGALL-RMF fund is rated at risk level 5.
The MFC Global Focus Retirement Fund (MGFRMF) is a level 6 risk fund that invests in high-quality global growth stocks through the Threadneedle (Lux) Global Focus Fund. This fund focuses on investing in large-cap stocks with competitive advantages and the potential to generate higher returns than the market, due to its high-quality growth, large market share, and consistent profit and revenue growth.
The master fund selects stocks with a focus on high-quality growth, diversifying its portfolio across multiple industry sectors, including Information Technology, Industrials, and Financials. The master fund has received a 5-star Morning Star rating, making it suitable for use as a primary portfolio. It offers long-term investment options or Dollar-Cost Averaging (DCA) investment.
The MFC Renewable Energy Retirement Fund (MRENEWRMF) invests in stocks related to sustainable and renewable energy worldwide, which will replace traditional fossil fuels, covering the entire supply chain.
Investing through the main fund BGFSustainable Energy Fund focuses on investing in three main themes: Clean Power, Energy Efficiency, and Clean Transportation, with similar investment weightings to diversify investments for maximum portfolio efficiency.
The investment portfolio has 30-60 stocks, all of which are high-quality, large-cap stocks with market caps exceeding US$10,000 billion, both in the US and the European region. The focus is on investing in large-cap, stable stocks (Large-cap), with strong financial statements, resistant to all economic conditions, and low volatility. This fund has a risk level of 7.
Regarding ThaiESG funds, we recommend three funds :
The MFC Thai Government Bond Sustainability Fund (MSOV-ThaiESG) is a level 3 risk fund, suitable for investors seeking to invest in Thai government bonds, with a moderate to low risk tolerance, and to create opportunities for sustainable growth through investment in sustainable debt instruments (ESGBOND).
The MFC Flexible Thai Sustainability Fund (MFLEX-ThaiESG) is a level 5 risk fund, a mixed fund of equities and bonds with high ESG ratings. It aims to generate returns while minimizing volatility in line with market conditions. The fund comprises 70% SETESG TRI and 30% ThaiBMA ESG Bond Index, offering flexibility to adjust the investment allocation between 0-100% in equities and bonds depending on market conditions.
The investment team has over 20 years of experience in managing mixed funds. This fund is suitable for investors who prioritize long-term returns, expect better returns than investing in general debt instruments, and can accept the risks and volatility of stock prices.
The MFC Top 25 Thai Equity Fund for Sustainability (MT25-ThaiESG) focuses on investing in the top 25 sustainable companies based on the market capitalization of the SETESG Index Diversified Sector, controlling the concentration of securities in each sector.
By distributing each sector to no more than 5 securities, it is suitable for investors who focus on long-term returns and can accept the risk and volatility of stock prices. This fund has a risk level of 6.
For investors who purchase participating RMF and ThaiESG tax-advantaged funds with MFC, every 50,000 baht spent will receive a 100 baht MMGOVMF government bond fund, from today until December 30, 68 only.
