Global Black shows AUM Wealth portfolio soars to 68 billion baht in 1, aiming to drive TFEX growth opportunities

Globlex Securities reveals that its AUM Wealth portfolio in 68 reached 10,000 billion baht, driven by the expansion of its customer base to the high net worth and foreign funds. The company also revealed its 69 strategy, focusing on TFEX investments, which still sees significant growth potential. It points out that investors will return to the Thai stock market if investments in the stock market generate positive returns.
On December 8, 2568, Mr. Thanapisarn Kuhapremkit, Chief Executive Officer of Globlex Securities Co., Ltd. (GBS) , revealed that the company's wealth management business, which provides asset management services to high-net-worth clients, has been experiencing strong growth.
Currently, the value of assets under management (AUM) has grown to 10,000 billion baht, reaching the target level. The portfolio at the beginning of 2568 was approximately 6,000-7,000 million baht. This is a result of the expansion of the High Net Worth (HNW) customer base, which is a group of individuals with high wealth, and the expansion of the base.
This growth is organic, coupled with the recovery of wealth in the international markets where clients are investing. Investors are currently seeking high-yield investments, primarily in foreign funds such as those in China and the United States. This recovery has enabled clients to withdraw their funds to invest in other markets.
“Over the next one to two years, Wealth still has the potential for continued growth. The company expects that in the future, investments across Wealth, bonds, and equity securities will be able to connect and be in the same orbit. If this is achieved as expected, this will allow investors to shift their investments according to the timing of their investments at any given time.”
He also emphasized that in 2569, the company will diversify its investment risk by preparing a strategy focused on having products on the shelf covering bonds, debt instruments, Thai stocks, foreign stocks, and DRs for customers to choose from, including the TFEX (Foreign Exchange) and Single Stock Futures, which are futures contracts that reference stock prices.
This includes offshore investment products and will aggressively create investment opportunities in private funds, increasing investment in Fund of Fund and DR funds to create higher liquidity, which will attract investors, along with minimizing operational steps to increase value and profits for customers (Lean Cost). It is envisioned that in the future, service work will be carried out more online to better meet the investment needs of investors in real time.
The Thai stock market is currently lacking positive domestic factors and continues to be impacted by uncontrollable external factors, resulting in limited capital flow into the Thai stock market.
Therefore, I personally believe that if the stock market is to recover, the government and agencies involved in the capital market must urgently build confidence among both domestic and international investors in the opportunity to generate positive returns from domestic investments.
It must be acknowledged that the new generation of investors (Gen Z) are now beginning to diversify their investment portfolios by prioritizing investments in cryptocurrencies and investing in foreign stocks and DRs (Depositary Receipts), which are securities representing the right to deposit foreign securities.
This product is designed to enable Thai investors to trade foreign securities, which creates the opportunity to receive higher returns than investing in the Thai stock market. This clearly shows that the Thai stock market has lost its charm, causing money to flow out of the country.
Therefore, we must accelerate the creation of tools to enable Thai investors to invest in foreign securities. All parties must urgently build investor confidence. The economy must be strong, investment policies must be clear, GDP must continue to grow, and worthwhile returns must be generated for investors. These factors will not only attract new capital but also attract investors back to the Thai stock market, revitalizing its vibrant and vibrant atmosphere.
