A spokesman for the Thai army revealed that there is no plan for a ceasefire along the Cambodian border because Cambodia continues to use heavy weapons to attack border areas. The army is prepared to maintain a troop deployment in accordance with international principles until Cambodia ceases hostilities, while also providing full support to its personnel and their families.

The Royal Thai Army has clarified that it has not yet developed a ceasefire plan, addressing public interest and questions surrounding the issue after the Malaysian Prime Minister posted online yesterday (December 13, 68) stating that Thailand and Cambodia would begin a ceasefire process after 22.00 PM.

"The Royal Thai Army has never mentioned or outlined a course of action regarding this matter, as Cambodia continues to use heavy weapons, BM-21 rockets, mortar launchers, and suicide drones to attack Thai troops along the entire border. This constitutes a serious threat to national security and has a severe impact on the Thai people."

This General Phana Klaewplodthuk, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army, has been closely monitoring the situation and providing specific operational guidelines. It has been confirmed that there have been no changes to the operational orders of units in the combat zone. Military units responsible along the border are still being instructed to proceed with operations as planned, while fully integrating their efforts with other branches of the armed forces and agencies.

Meanwhile, the Army Commander-in-Chief instructed the 1st and 2nd Army Areas to emphasize to their personnel the importance of safe operations and cautious strategic planning, focusing on the primary objective of disrupting and undermining Cambodia's military capabilities, including personnel, equipment, and other supporting elements that directly or indirectly affect Thailand. He affirmed that the Royal Thai Army will only attack military targets that impact Thailand and will establish and control areas that have previously been encroached upon within Thai sovereign territory, strengthening security to facilitate future military operations.

In addition The Commander-in-Chief of the Army has ordered all subordinate units to provide comprehensive care and attention to personnel injured and deceased in combat situations, as well as their families. This includes medical treatment, rights and welfare, and facilitating family visits and religious ceremonies to the best of their ability. During the funeral ceremony for the fallen soldiers, the Commander-in-Chief of the Army assigned high-ranking army commanders to attend the ceremony and pay tribute to the heroes with full honors. They also offered condolences and encouragement to the families, and thanked the brave soldiers who sacrificed themselves proudly in this mission.

“The Royal Thai Army confirms that this operation will continue until Cambodia ceases its hostilities and attacks against Thai troops and civilians in the border area. We assure the public that the Royal Thai Army's personnel and equipment are ready to maintain their positions and respond according to the established operational plan and international standards, in order to protect the independence and ensure the safety of the Thai people to the best of our ability.”
