The 2nd Army Region summarized the situation on the Thai-Cambodian border as of December 15, 2025 (9:00 AM), revealing that the situation in the Chong Bok area is highly tense with intermittent heavy armed clashes.

On December 15, 2025, at 1:49 PM, the 2nd Army Area reported that the overall situation since 6:00 PM the previous day included the following significant events in the area:

Chong Bok area: The situation is highly tense, with intermittent heavy gunfire. The Royal Thai Army is attempting to hold its position on a key hill and preparing for a possible siege, providing supporting fire when Thai forces approach.

The Saddle Pass area: This was the point of most intense conflict. The first line of defense was breached, causing a morale and supply crisis. The Thai forces retaliated with a carpet bombardment of BM-21 fire on their rear, forcing them to retreat to reinforce their positions on the slopes behind.

The Satta Som – Don Trual – Sam Tae area: This area serves as a “drone hub,” with drones centralized for targeting and supporting neighboring areas. The military employs a “shoot and move” tactic to evade return fire, utilizing the dense forest terrain for camouflage.

Huai Ta Maria area: The Royal Thai Army has ordered the reinforcement of bunkers and the focus on disruptive fire to destroy Thai structures. Troops will be positioned around Wat Kaew and firepower will be generated from Thai territory.

Phu Makheua area: The Royal Thai Army was at a severe tactical disadvantage and unable to control the area, so they adjusted their plan to "territorial destruction," using BM-21 missiles to continuously and precisely fire at the mountaintop to ensure that the Thai side could not exploit the area, even if they had to withdraw their ground forces.

Chong Chom – Chong Rayi – Plot Tang area: Approximately 300 new troops have been deployed, along with strict communication control and blackout measures, indicating preparations for a counterattack. This is accompanied by the dissemination of false rumors about a Thai withdrawal to maintain troop morale.

In the Chong Khana area: Our forces exerted heavy pressure, forcing the Thai Armed Forces to request close-range friendly fire to counter the attack. Currently, the majority of the forces have retreated further south.

Ta Kwai Area – Hill 350: Intense close-quarters fighting resulted in the death of a high-ranking Cambodian commander. The Thai military employed a "trade-off" tactic, firing FPV and BM-21 missiles into their own territory to seize symbolic positional territory and halt the Thai attack.

Ta Muean area: The command and control system of the Cambodian National Security Council (CNSC) was disrupted by our side, causing suspicion and requiring frequent changes to radio codes. Lower-level units immediately implemented their contingency plans upon loss of communication.
