Mr. Siripong Angkasakulkiat, the spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that the Prime Minister has urged relevant agencies, especially the Ministry of Defense and the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM), to expedite the disbursement of compensation in all cases to the families of military personnel who died or were injured, as well as compensation payments to civilians who have been evacuated to shelters. Due to the ongoing military operations between Thailand and Cambodia, there have been casualties and injuries among military personnel, while civilians continue to be evacuated and stay in shelters.

Previously, the government had approved guidelines and budgets for compensation for those who died, were disabled, or injured, as well as compensation for people who had to be displaced from their homes. This opportunity should be used to collect the necessary information from the people who gather at the center so that the disbursement process can be completed immediately. This will save time and reduce procedures, as the budget is already available. Once verified, the funds can be transferred immediately. If the budget is insufficient, the Ministry of Defense, the National Security Council, and the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation can request additional funds to avoid wasting time, as approval from the Election Commission is also required.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister has instructed the Civil Service Commission, in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence and other relevant agencies, to consider ways to make regulations more flexible in order to allow the descendants of deceased military personnel to be appointed to civil service positions. Previously, there were limitations regarding appointments in the Army, such as positions not matching qualifications or not being in the designated residential area. The aim is to allow for the appointment of descendants to replace soldiers who sacrificed themselves for the nation, placing them in positions that match their qualifications and are in their original residential area, rather than requiring them to work near their home.
