Thailand, Cambodia, and China held a trilateral meeting following the implementation of a ceasefire agreement. China reiterated its respect for the principle of non-interference but expressed its desire for both countries to discuss ways to build lasting peace.

During the discussions, both Thailand and Cambodia thanked China for its role and understanding in consistently helping to resolve tensions between the two countries. China reiterated its respect for the principle of non-interference but expressed its desire to provide a channel for both countries to discuss the creation of lasting peace.
While the Thai side reiterated its intention to develop relations gradually and progressively following the ceasefire, emphasizing that Thailand has always chosen the path of peace and seeks to build trust between the governments and people of both sides.
Following the 72-hour ceasefire, Thailand will consider sending 18 soldiers to Cambodia and will request Cambodia to facilitate the return of Thai citizens stationed at the border.
In addition, both sides agreed to discuss various measures such as de-escalation, mine clearance, heavy weapons removal, and suppression of scammers in order to restore safety to the people on both sides so that they can live normal lives.
