January 6, 2569 at 09.03:XNUMX p.m. The 2nd Army Region reported that at 07.25:1 AM, Cambodia fired a mortar round in the Chong Bok area, in front of Hill 469. One soldier was wounded. The patient, suffering from shrapnel injuries, is currently being processed for medical evacuation.
Later, the 2nd Army Region stated that the Suranaree Task Force received a report of an explosion in the Chong Bok area, near Hill 469, Dom Pradit Subdistrict, Nam Yuen District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. The explosion resulted in one soldier being injured: Sergeant Major Prachya Pilachai, the 1st Platoon Commander of the 6021st Infantry Company (RDF), who sustained shrapnel injuries to his right arm.
The doctor assessed the patient's condition as "green level," meaning it was not life-threatening. Following the incident, local units provided initial first aid according to field medical procedures and immediately treated and evacuated the injured person from the operational area. Currently, the injured person has been receiving treatment at the Kut Chiang Mun Sub-district Health Promotion Hospital and has been transferred to Nam Yuen Hospital for further treatment. The injured person is in stable condition and under close medical supervision.
The cause of this incident is currently under investigation by the relevant authorities.
