Thai stocks are expected to trade sideways today within the 1,230-1,250 point range. Attention will be focused on the US CPI data tonight.

Thai stocks are expected to trade sideways within the 1,230-1,250 point range today, January 13th, due to a lack of fundamental catalysts. Analysts advise monitoring the US CPI figures tonight.
January 13, 2569 Kasikorn Securities expects Thai stocks to fluctuate sideways today between 1,230 and 1,250 points. Following the SET index's fall below the key psychological support level of 1,250 points, investment sentiment may become volatile again.
Innovation Exchange Securities Thai stocks are expected to continue fluctuating downwards if any rebound fails to break through resistance levels. The Bank of Thailand's announcement of a reduction in the FIDF contribution rate from 0.46% to 0.32% in 2569 will provide short-term psychological support for banking stocks. External factors to watch include the US CPI figures tonight, which the market expects to remain stable at 2.7%, and the belief that the Fed will keep interest rates unchanged at its meeting later this month.
Technically, the market has corrected downwards, breaking below 1250/1244, opening up downside risk. If it cannot break above the resistance levels of 1247/1252, the downside risk remains, with the next support levels at 1239/1230.
Phatra Securities estimates the SET Index will move within a range of 1230 – 1250. A drop below 1250 creates negative psychological pressure, coupled with a lack of supporting factors in the Thai stock market due to its weak fundamentals, low economic growth, and the absence of positive signs from tourism.
Strategically, investment focuses on selecting stocks with strong supporting factors, such as those in sectors with stable cash flow and attractive dividend yields, including telecommunications (ADVANC), commercial banks (BBL, KBANK, KTB, KKP, SCB), beverages (ICHI), and industrial estates (AMATA).
