UOB Thailand promotes future skills for Thai youth.

UOB Thailand organized the Better U Next Future Kids Camp 2025 to provide a new learning environment for over 80 children and youth aged 8-12 years old. These included children of employees and youth from nearby communities, such as the Sikka Boonpatham Moral Development Center and the Duang Pratheep Foundation. The aim was to build essential skills for the future through creative and age-appropriate learning processes.
The camp is held under the concept of “Artventure: Growing Minds Through Creativity,” which focuses on developing future skills through creative learning processes—not rote memorization, but hands-on thinking, experimentation, and creation. Activities are designed to foster teamwork, human-centered design thinking, creative problem-solving, environmental awareness, and an understanding of digital technology and AI in an easy-to-understand and fun way.
The highlights of the camp include:
- Create Your Dream Team: Name your team, design a mascot, and present your work using AI tools to enhance communication and collaboration skills.
- TMRW World: Creating imaginative futuristic cities, such as banks, schools, and airports, through digital technology.
- The Toy Prototype Challenge involves improving and developing everyday toys to better meet user needs.
- DIY Tree: Creating trees from recycled materials to instill environmental awareness.
- Hop on the Stage, a short theatrical performance based on a fictional scenario, helps boost confidence, storytelling skills, and creative expression.

Ms. Sasivimol Arayawatthanapong, Assistant Managing Director, Human Resources, UOB Bank Thailand, said, “This activity reflects our UOB Way employee care culture, which focuses not only on caring for employees but also on families, especially preparing children with essential skills for the future. Learning through positive experiences helps children to think creatively, experiment, and adapt to the uncertain and ever-changing world.”
For many children, this camp was their first opportunity to learn in a way different from a traditional classroom. Eight-year-old Ashra Beverly Sim said she enjoyed all the activities, especially the stage performances. "I loved performing, dressing up, and telling my own stories. If they hold this again next year, I will definitely come back."
The Better U Next Future Kids Camp 2025 is another initiative by UOB Thailand to invest in human resource development from a young age. The bank believes that instilling the right mindset and life skills from today will be a crucial foundation for Thai youth to grow up to be well-rounded individuals ready to face the challenges of the future.
