The SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) has approved Thai ESG's investment in JUMP+ stocks, highlighting a corporate governance score of 90 or higher.

The SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand) has approved adjustments to the criteria for Thai ESG mutual funds, expanding the investment scope to include stocks participating in the JUMP+ program and with an excellent Corporate Governance Rating (CGR) of 90 points or higher. This is expected to support listed companies in enhancing their corporate governance and increasing sustainable business value.
As of February 2, 2569, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand (SEC) is in the process of drafting additional regulations to allow the Thailand ESG Fund (Thai ESG) to invest in shares of listed companies participating in the Stock Exchange of Thailand's Jump Overload (JUMP+) program.
Furthermore, companies must have a Corporate Governance Rating (CGR) of 90 or higher to support them in improving their governance, while simultaneously operating according to their goals and growth plans, and continuously reporting progress to investors. This is expected to come into effect in March 2569.
The Capital Market Supervisory Board (CMSB), at its meeting in December 2568, approved in principle the revision of regulations related to investments in Thai ESG mutual funds.
By adding shares of companies participating in the Stock Exchange of Thailand's JUMP+ program, which must have a Corporate Governance Report of Thai Listed Companies (CGR) score of 90 or higher, they become sustainability securities eligible for Thai ESG investment.
To support the enhancement of corporate governance in listed companies, coupled with operations aligned with quality growth goals and plans, and to continuously report progress to investors, the SEC is currently drafting related regulations and announcements. These regulations are expected to come into effect in March 2569.
Thai ESG mutual funds represent another mechanism to help drive sustainable long-term business operations. As of January 26, 2569, there were 77 Thai ESG mutual funds (including Thai ESGX) managed by 19 asset management companies, with a net asset value (NAV) of approximately 103,146 million baht, representing a growth rate of 249 percent compared to the end of 2567.
The securities that the Thai ESG mutual fund can currently invest in include stocks listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) or the Market for Alternative Investment (mai) that excel in environmental (E) or sustainability (ESG) aspects, or that disclose and verify greenhouse gas emissions data, or that have excellent corporate governance and disclose a corporate value-up plan.
This includes debt instruments and digital tokens for sustainability investments, as well as units of infrastructure funds and real estate investment trusts that excel in E or ESG aspects.
The Stock Exchange of Thailand's JUMP+ project aims to encourage listed companies to develop and implement their growth goals and plans, including plans to enhance corporate governance, as well as support continuous disclosure and communication with investors to ensure investors receive complete information to make informed investment decisions.
This will help enhance the potential of listed companies and increase their attractiveness to investors in the long term. Applications are open to listed companies, and they are required to submit their JUMP+ plans to the Stock Exchange of Thailand by March 31, 2569.
