Abhisit leads the Democrat Party on its final day of campaigning, with three routes across Bangkok.

Mr. Abhisit Vejjajiva, leader of the Democrat Party, along with Mr. Sakoltee Bhattiyakul, deputy party leader in charge of Bangkok, paid respects to Phra Mae Thorani (the Earth Goddess), the party's sacred deity, for good fortune before launching the final day of campaigning in three routes. The first route, covering inner Bangkok, was led by Mr. Abhisit; the second by Mr. Korn Chatikavanij, covering outer inner Bangkok; and the third by Ms. Kardee Leowpairoj, covering Thonburi. Finally, at 12:00 PM, they will meet with the public at Mega Bangna.

The atmosphere before the convoy departed was lively, to the point that Mr. Abhisit even did some light dancing and joked with reporters. Mr. Abhisit also commented on the closing of last night's rally, the first time he had declared himself the opposition, after previously stating that they weren't going anywhere and were returning home, hoping to gain a large majority of votes to control the government.

What we want to emphasize is that the Democrat Party hasn't gone anywhere; we've returned, ready to fulfill our duty to protect the national interest. We remain confident that the people will still give us a chance, empowering us to control the government. This means that a government with us in it will give the people confidence that there is a safe way out for everyone, protecting them from corruption, poverty, inequality, and conflict from all external problems. But if we are not in government, we will fulfill our role as the opposition, fully scrutinizing and overseeing the country.

"As for myself, when the party told me what they wanted and that they wanted me to continue working, I affirmed that even if I were alone, and if there were corruption or embezzlement, I would do my best. I want to assure everyone that the Democrat Party is back and will continue to stand alongside the people, performing my duties to the best of my ability, regardless of my status. We are the safe haven."

Meanwhile, I would like to remind the public, on this last day of campaigning before the election tomorrow, that you must exercise your right to vote in the referendum. Please go out and vote in large numbers, and do not be swayed by bribes. We are conducting honest politics, which is the foundation of good politics, a good city, and a good economy.
