Kasikorn Asset Management views Japanese stocks positively, highlighting the K-WealthPlus Series and K-JPX funds.

Kasikorn Asset Management has a more positive view on investing in the Japanese stock market after the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), led by Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, regained a majority in parliament. They recommend their top funds, K-WealthPlus Series and K-JPX.
February 9, 2569 – Kasikorn Asset Management has a more positive view on investing in the Japanese stock market due to increased political stability within the country. The ruling party's majority in the House of Representatives, exceeding the Supermajority, will facilitate the passage of legislation and budgets, and support the government's proactive fiscal policies.
However, investors may have short-term concerns about the Japanese government bond market and the yen due to fiscal policy and stimulus measures that could increase the country's fiscal burden. Meanwhile, the Bank of Japan is likely to continue raising interest rates gradually, which could lead to increased volatility in bond yields and the yen in the short term.
Preliminary results from Japan's February 8, 2569 House of Representatives election reflect the popularity of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), led by Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, which regained a majority in the House of Representatives after losing it in the 2567 election.
The LDP secured over 316 seats in the election, exceeding the supermajority (two-thirds) requirement in the House of Representatives and significantly higher than its pre-election total of only 199 seats.
Kasikorn Asset Management recommends gradually accumulating investments in its featured funds, including:
- K-WealthPlus Series A well-diversified mixed fund, a collaboration between Kasikorn Asset Management and JP Morgan Asset Management, is ready to adjust its strategy flexibly. Currently, the fund has a positive view of the Japanese stock market and already has investments in it. Furthermore, it has reduced its allocation to Japanese bonds. This strategy is likely to benefit from post-election policy directions.
- K-JPX The fund invests in Japan's TOPIX index, providing a comprehensive view of the Japanese stock market and demonstrating outstanding performance, earning a 5-star rating from Morningstar (December 31, 2025).
