Queen Sirikit Convention Center welcomes IMF Managing Director in preparation for the 2026 IMF-World Bank Group Annual Meetings.

Mr. Panot Sirivadhanabhakdi, along with the management team of the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, welcomed the IMF leaders for discussions on venue preparation. Kristalina Georgieva expressed confidence in Thailand's capabilities and the modernity of the venue, stating that it is ready to host the world-class conference in October next year.

During a visit to inspect the site and discuss the progress of preparations for the 2026 IMF-World Bank Group Annual Meetings.


The event is officially scheduled to take place from October 12–18, 2569, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. This is a significant global economic event that will attract finance ministers, central bank governors, and representatives from financial institutions worldwide.

This marks the second time the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center has hosted the event, having first done so in 1991. This return after 35 years not only reflects the center's international standards but also reinforces its role as a leading landmark and international conference venue in Thailand, recognized globally.
