Grab Thailand announced a 10 million baht investment to provide special subsidies to help cover fuel costs for its driver and rider partners in coping with the global energy price crisis.

March 18, 2569 – Ms. Chantsuda Thananitayaudom, Managing Director of Grab Thailand, revealed the company's operational direction under the current circumstances. It was stated that the continuing escalation of geopolitical tensions in the Middle East has directly impacted the surge in oil prices globally and in Thailand.

Grab Thailand has recognized the negative impact and increasing operating costs on its service partner companies and has therefore considered urgent assistance measures by announcing a "Special Incentive" to alleviate the burden and support fuel costs for driver and rider partners who provide passenger transportation and delivery services through the Grab application.

This support will cover all trips of the service, totaling 10 million baht, and will be effective from today (March 18) until April 1, 2569.

Details and conditions for receiving subsidies.

For the allocation of budgets in the aforementioned special incentive program, the company has established the following guidelines and eligibility criteria:

  • Target eligible group: This offer is exclusively for driver and rider partners who operate vehicles such as cars or motorcycles that use gasoline fuel.
  • Calculation criteria: The incentive payment rate will vary depending on each partner's tier, as defined by the company.
  • Payment methods: The company will automatically transfer the support funds into each partner's electronic cash wallet (e-Wallet) by April 6, 2569.

Grab will continue to closely and continuously monitor and assess energy price movements, as well as external factors that may affect its operations, in order to use this information to adjust its plans to align with the changing economic context.

Grab reaffirms its commitment to maintaining a balanced business operation that benefits all sectors within the Grab ecosystem—including users, service partners, and merchant partners—in order to overcome this economic crisis sustainably.
