SCG and SCBX have signed a cooperation agreement on AI and intellectual property management. The partnership will explore feasibility and develop pilot projects within a framework of four areas, aiming to translate research into practical applications, enhance competitiveness, and accelerate long-term growth.
March 23, 2569 Siam Cement Public Company Limited (SCG) SCBX Public Company Limited or SCBX A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed to develop strategic cooperation in artificial intelligence (AI) and intellectual property (IP) management. The aim is to leverage advanced technologies and in-depth research for practical industrial applications, enhancing operational efficiency and bolstering the competitiveness of both organizations in the long term.
This collaboration reflects the strategic direction of both organizations to use AI and Deep Tech as key mechanisms to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and create added business value.
By combining SCBX's expertise in AI, Machine Learning, and Quantum Technology with SCG's industrial capabilities, manufacturing expertise, and intellectual property management excellence, we aim to develop practical solutions for large-scale organizations.

SCG and SCBX will jointly study the feasibility and develop pilot projects under four main areas of cooperation:
- Strengthening intellectual property management: SCG will share its ASEAN-recognized intellectual property (IP) management strategic framework, best practices, and processes to support SCBX in systematically developing, protecting, and managing intellectual property related to AI, software, and emerging technologies, in line with the long-term growth of the technology business.
- Using AI to improve efficiency and create business value: SCBX will leverage AI, Machine Learning, and Quantum Computing technologies to support the solution of SCG's core business challenges, particularly in manufacturing and operations. Meanwhile, SCG will utilize proven digital solutions to further enhance internal processes and develop new businesses for SCBX.
- Collaboration in research and development of joint innovations: Both organizations will jointly explore cutting-edge research topics such as generative and agentic AI, quantum technology, and specialized AI models, conducting Proof of Concept (PoC) and pilot projects to test their technological and business viability before scaling them up for real-world applications.
- Developing AI knowledge and ecosystems: SCG and SCBX will exchange insights on technology trends and AI foresight, and jointly organize or support technology and innovation events to promote the development of the AI ecosystem and reinforce the technological leadership role of the Thai business sector.
